Alright. So you should all know that for the past 30 minutes my EXTREMELY valuable and NECESSARY time on the RefDesk has been monopolized by a young man who is HIGH off his ASS and smells like Hole in the Wall at 11am on a Sunday.
The biggest crack up about this dude? Is that he is asking for books on how to patent a new design for a product he has come up with.
Wait for it.
So he's all "Let me show you..." and I'm all "Please God NO." And he's all whipping a large ziplock bag out of his backpack.
With a grand flourish, he displays his amazing product on the RefDesk for me to behold.
What is it?
A picture frame made of what appears to be colored dried palm leaves. Like, when you were in Religion Class and it was the day after Palm Sunday? And you used all the leftover palm leaves to make crafts? Ok, if you were Catholics...but seriously. I wish to GOD I could describe the ridiculousness of this item, and how SERIOUSLY he took it. To the point where he said "I brought this before a lawyer and he said I needed to patent it."
Um, gee buddy. I wouldn't take that anywhere NEAR a Pre-K, because there are some greedy 4 year olds who would love to get their paws on an idea like THAT one.
Ok. I'm really going to see if I can find a picture of something similar on the InterWebs because I really need you guys to have a visual appreciation of what I'm talking about.
Damn. Couldn't find it, but I did find a picture of a cross-section of a thigh bone as well as one of crop circles. Not sure where that fits in with a "picture frame craft woven" keyword search...but whatevs.
