So, you guys remember this lady? Well, we haven't seen her for the entire run of [NEW PLAY!] until...LAST NIGHT.
It's round about 11pm and a group of us are getting reading to leave. PrincessSean, myself and Billvolio are just outside the [PLACE WHERE WE PRACTICE] when I hear someone's voice in the darkness...down-a-ways in the dark, DARK, scary gravel parking lot. Billvolio begins to walk toward the voice, responding to it with a "I'm sorry, what?" Suddenly! I realize it's HER! And I'm all:
Me:(determined whisper) Billvolio! No! No, no, no! NO! (slow-mo yell) NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Return to me! Return to me NOW!
Billvolio: (returning) Oh my god what?
Me: WHO WAS THAT?
Billvolio: I don't know, it's too dark I couldn't see.
Me: I'll tell you who it was, it was SQUIRTTEN. And that spells DEATH!
We then all like, run back inside to hide out until she's done hovering with her latest roadkill pet and relate the tale to Billvolio. Who promptly refuses to walk to his car alone. Ever.
Speaking of [NEW PLAY!], I am really, for reals, realness, struggling with maintaining my accent the whole play. Which is weird, as I can talk like my mother for like 6 hours consecutively. So Director is all "You're struggling with the accent, what gives?" and I'm all "Ugh. Lack of focus I think. I just can't...I can't...like...get into it."
Director: (sigh) Do I need to make you a Lurrver17 doll to hold backstage with you?
Me: YES. I cannot work without him! WEEEEEEEEEEP.
I mean for serious? This is a little bit true. Because you see, Lurrver17 was always being his Curious Little Monkey self and in order to like, control him backstage, we would literally work every time we weren't on stage. Like running scenes, or talking about character, and pretty much totally secluding ourselves from the rest of the cast so that Lurrver17 couldn't distract them or himself.
SO, I was always focused and always disciplined.
And now the padawan becomes the master...or rather, padawan the master becomes.
