Then you've got 15 minutes for FUN!
Ok-so yeah. About the lack of posting...look. It's Hell Week, for [New Play!] and like I don't have time to sleep let alone blog. PLUS...PLUS?!?!?! All these VICTIMS of the ECONOMIC CRISIS are all up in dis liberry's businasss so I don't even have time to dick around at work.
Which is NOT COOL.
I need a mental break please. Help a sista out.
However? I literally had the BEST PATRON ever on the phone today. SERIOUSLY. If I could hunt him down and make him my own, I would. I mean, theoretically, I could because I have like all his personal information at my disposal...but like...I would never abuse that authority (I'm lying).
So, he calls up and is all:
LibraryBoyfriend: Hey. I'd like to place a hold on a book please.
Me: Sure. What book are you looking for?
LibraryBoyfriend: "Something More" by Catherine Marshall.
Me: Sure. Just give me a second to find that for you.
Me: Sorry, my computer is SCARY slow today.
LibraryBoyfriend: SCARY slow?
Me: Yeah. It's THAT slow.
Then? THEN??!?! He starts speaking in a DRACULA voice. NO JOKE. Oh my Jeebus it was the funniest thing ever. I started laughing hysterically, naturally. And he just keeps going on like:
LibraryBoyfriend: My library card numba iz ZEEEERO ZEEERO...
Me: BWA HAHAH! Literal tears are coming out of my eyes right now.
LibraryBoyfriend: Have we managed to clear out your sinuses?
Me: BWA HAHAHAH!
I mean, so amazing. Like, LOVE FOREVER. So I totally looked him up after I placed the hold on the book for him and he's listed as a senior.
No, not in High School...don't get your panties in a twist, Lurrrver17.
Senior Citizen. So not only was he HILARIOUS? He's a hilarious old man WHO we clearly need to set up with Babs, because the active retirees just love her.
Anyway, it made my week. It might have actually completed my life.
Also, you should know that it for serious, for reals SNOWED here this past weekend. Like 3/12 inches! Now, I grew up on Strong Island in NY, so I mean that ain't nothin'. But it's by far the biggest snowfall I've seen since I've been down here in HotLanta.
I totally built a small, faceless, pitiful snowman. But I built him with LOOOOVE.
The crazy part? Is like, one minute I'm totally alone outside constructing my SnowChild...and the next, there's a 6 foot tall Roman Emperor Snowman on my neighbor's lawn across the street.
Like, no lie.
She must be super stealthy.
And I mean, he had like a crown of leaves and everything...with his SnowArms folded regally and an aquiline nose.
What would've been funny is if I stuck 23 twigs in him and gave him a sad face.
